Conscious of tradition but always with an eye to the future

Despite the use of high-tech equipment, people are also important at Weets

Jakob Weets, who drove trucks for many years himself, attaches great importance to a personal and collegial relationship with his employees. Weets relies on the direct employment of its employees, who work hard for the company every day and are its most important asset.

The training of young people is very important to us.

The Weets Group has established itself not only as a reliable partner in logistics, but also as a major employer in the region. The logistics company offers a friendly and, above all, good working atmosphere, short decision-making processes, and encourages independent work. Employees appreciate the flexible working hours and the responsible, varied tasks. Performance-related pay rounds off the package. The team is young, motivated, and open-minded. The management places particular emphasis on the training and further education of its employees. Jakob Weets is also chairman of the examination board for professional drivers. For years, the Weets Group has been committed to its trainees and provides them with optimal training. Recognition of performance, as well as exchange and contact with one another, is the be-all and end-all of successful business management.

Fast and efficient throughout history

Competence and sustainable customer service

The company's ability to adapt quickly and efficiently to developments, trends, and challenges in the logistics industry as times change is a key factor in its success. Our greatest motivation is to support our customers with comprehensive, competent service. To this end, we attach great importance to the training and qualifications of our employees. We use innovative freight forwarding software to increase the efficiency of our services and customer service. This software serves as a web-based customer application and allows you to check the status of your containers.

We would be happy to develop a customized logistics solution for you: for example, we also offer JIT and JIS deliveries. Please feel free to contact us!

Sustainability and environmental protection

We already carry out around two-thirds of our transports using alternative modes of transport (rail and barge). Reducing emissions is one of our highest corporate goals. We have a modern fleet of vehicles that is constantly being expanded. Since 2015, we have been using 15 trucks powered by LNG. However, in order to continue promoting CO2-neutral container handling, we are participating in the “Green Chain” project as a pilot customer together with HHLA and Metrans. In addition, we have already tested the use and everyday suitability of electric trucks as part of another project. Electric industrial trucks, photovoltaic systems, and consumption-optimized lighting concepts are further measures we are taking to reduce emissions. The use of two long trucks also reduces the burden on the roads and the environment thanks to volume optimization. Since January 1, 2022, we have even been operating completely CO₂-free trains on the Kassel, Beiseförth, and Ingolstadt routes.
